SILVIA PUENTES

Founder and director of Elite Pilates

“Since the beginning of my career in Contrology, almost 20 years ago, I realized that there was something special in this method. It’s not just an exercise system, it is a philosophy that aims to educate and keep the body healthy through movement.

I was lucky enough to learn the Original Pilates Method, Contrology, before the “fitness” industry and their marketing stripped away its true essence, taking away its actual benefits and turning it into some sort of choreography with simplified exercises.

This is why I decided to found “Elite Pilates”, seeking the passion and respect for authenticity. I felt the desire and the responsibility to share the genius method created by Joseph H. Pilates in 1926, making it last through time while keeping its true nature, all of this through teaching clients and training future teachers.

Today, thanks to the commitment and involvement of our entire “Elite Pilates” team, I can proudly say that Contrology continues and will continue to live. And because of this we are able work on what really makes us happy: improving people’s lives”.
