The values of the method

The method created by Joseph Hubertus Pilates at the beginning of the 20th century has become a popular discipline in Spain today with an increasing number of followers. Its practice, also called Contrology, is suitable for anyone, regardless of age, physical condition and profession.

It is not a system of random exercises designed to produce large, developed muscles, but was designed to achieve a uniform, flexible body and stretch the muscles and ligaments through its 6 main principles: concentration, control, precision, fluidity - of movement, breathing and strengthening - of the energy centre or core.

After many years dedicated to this complete discipline from Elite Pilates we can say that the most important values on which our work is based are the following.

1.- Respect. We are faithful to the philosophy, principles and way of working of Joseph H. Pilates. We believe that this is the way to really improve physical fitness and performance and to recover from injuries.

2.- Patience and persistence. These are essential qualities that we try to instil in all our clients during the sessions. Both are key to the achievement of any endeavour that brings significant benefit.

3.- Professionalism. Our team works hard every day and is continuously trained, trying to offer a daily service with the highest quality to our students and clients.

4.- Responsibility. In each class we try to get the client or student to explore their capabilities to the maximum in order to deepen and understand the true philosophy of the method.

5.- Gratitude. We are very grateful to our teachers Esperanza Aparicio Romero and Javier Pérez Pont. We count on the advice and support of both professionals.

6.- Love. Our work is vocational. We enjoy being able to pass on this knowledge to others, helping them to improve their physical and mental well-being.
